Plans are officially in motion for the most anticipated transportation night of the year!

We are thrilled to announce the return of our Annual Fundraising Dinner, taking place once again at the Current River Recreation Centre.

This isn’t just another dinner; it’s your chance to be part of something historic while enjoying a fantastic night out.

The nights going to begin with a set from Flipper Flannigan’s Flat Footed Four performing. 

  • Delicious Dining: Savour a locally inspired buffet crafted by the Current River Recreation Centre.
  • Guest Speaker: Mr. David Battistel History Teacher from St. Patricks High School will be speaking about his adventures to uncover local railway history, while the Bill Reist board member from the Friends of Grain Elevators will delve into the history of pool two.
  • Exciting Auctions: Bid on unique items, art, and outdoor gear inspired by Lake Superior’s beauty in our Penny, Silent, and Live Auctions.
  • Door Prizes: Win fantastic gift cards, “bonus bucks,” and unique experiences donated by our generous community partners that also includes a tour around the Thunder Bay Harbour, with Sail Superior.
  • Community Connection: Mingle with fellow history enthusiasts, local artists, and supporters who share your passion for preserving Thunder Bay’s Transportation legacy, including rail, air, grain, and lighthouses.

All proceeds from the evening go directly toward the management and maintenance of a historical presence on the breathtaking waterfront of Thunder Bay. By attending, you aren’t just buying a ticket; you are preserving a piece of our local heritage.
